This week we welcomed our new friend, Trenton to the MWF afternoon class. He is almost 3 years old & we are very happy to have him join us!
We participated in a collaborative painting project with frozen paint cubes. Instead of freezing ice cubes, Ms. Sheri froze paint cubes. We used our hands to spread the paint cubes on a large piece of kraft paper. Some of us preferred using paintbrushes so we used those too. We observed the paint cubes melting into puddles on the paper as we painted. The result is a beautiful piece of artwork containing a multitude of colors which is hanging in our snack room.
We outlined our names with gemstones & created various patterns/pictures as well. We also engaged in play with lots of loose parts creating various structures & using our imaginations.
Happy 5th Birthday to Kellen! We now have 3 five year olds in our school!

If my calculations are correct (& if we don’t have any snow days), our 100th day of school will fall on Valentine’s Day so we will have a combined Valentine’s Day/100 Days of School celebration with the children. If you would like to send in Valentine’s cards/treats, we would very much appreciate it. It will also be red day so be sure to dress the children in red for school! We have 16 children in our morning classes & 11 children in our afternoon classes.
