It’s hard to believe that this is our last week of camp. We’ve had a fun time & thank you all for sharing your precious children with us. Our staff is looking forward to a little break before we begin the new school year.
We have been building math, literacy, science & social skills during our pretend play! Play is powerful! Learning through play creates meaningful opportunities. We are designing & building sandcastles, fishing & sorting fish by color & size, practicing healthy habits, taking care of nature, counting & identifying numbers as we order & pay for items in our Beach Hut as well as developing our vocabulary. We are constantly building social skills during pretend play too! We are learning to take turns, share, wait, control our impulses & express our feelings through appropriate gestures, actions & words.

We painted at the easel with turquoise & light brown sand paint to create beach scenes. We then glued various materials to our pictures. We also painted at the table with ocean colors & decorated our pictures with tissue paper to give it texture.
Ms. Joyce will return in September to assist us as we begin our 6th year. Miss Fabi begins her new career path as a teacher in a local school district. Miss Faryaal is participating in a Disney World internship for the semester & will return as a substitute in January. We will miss them & wish them both well!
We look forward to seeing our returning students in September! Orientation will take place on Tues., 9/3 from 10:00-11:00. To all of our students embarking on new endeavors, we will miss you & wish you well!
