Our 1st Annual Holiday Spirit Week was a success. We had so much fun dressing in white for Blizzard Day, wearing holiday hats & bows, laughing at our ugly sweaters &/or feeling cozy in our holiday sweaters, wearing our pajamas to school & dressing our best for our holiday party. We hope to continue this tradition for years to come.
We had snowball fights all week, thanks to Max & Myles’ mom knitting us lots of awesome snowballs. We threw them in a basket & at each other! Lots of gross motor fun! We also played a gross motor movement game where we followed the directions from the Gingerbread Man. We jumped, ran, skipped, spun, drove, swam, wiggled, waddled & flew! We marble painted with jingle bells on gingerbread men to decorate our treat bags. There was a lot of movement involved in our marble painting including doing the jingle bell hop, candy cane twist & gingerbread run. We combined movement & art in one activity! After the marble paintings dried, we decorated them. On pajama day we watched Rudolph with the morning class & Frosty with the afternoon class. We certainly kept busy during this last week of school.

“Give your kids a holiday season filled with moments to remember, not toys they'll forget.”
A great big thank you to everyone who donated pajamas during our Pajama Drive in conjunction with Scholastic Books. Our class donated 16 pajamas. Scholastic will match those pajamas with 16 books. A special thank you to Kellen’s mother, Ingrid, who for the 3rd year in a row graciously collected pajamas from her coworkers for a total of 39 pajamas which will also be matched by Scholastic with books! This year the pajamas are being donated to Little Flower Children’s Services. They will enjoy cozy pajamas & a book to read at bedtime due to your generosity.
Did you hear the good news? Miss Bethany got engaged! She is ready for her internship in January & will graduate from St. Joseph’s College in May. We are all very excited for her as she gets ready for the next chapter in her life. She will continue to sub for us on an as needed basis through the end of the school year.
Creative Kids Center will be closed from December 25-January 1 for Winter Break. School resumes on Tuesday, January 2, 2017.
We wish you all a very happy, healthy & peaceful New Year! See you all next year!
