This week we completed our “Starry Night” paintings. You can see them hanging up in our classroom. We enjoyed more scarf dancing because we absolutely love it! We move our bodies & the scarves to the music by waving the scarves fast, slow, up, down & all around in time to the music.
We read Season for Sneezing & practiced covering our coughs & sneezes. We talked about how germs are spread & how to wash our hands. We’ve had many absences due to illnesses. Just a reminder that children must be fever free for 24 hours as well as no vomiting or diarrhea for a 24 hour period before returning to school. Thank you for your cooperation.
Happy 3rd Birthday to Colin! Thank you to Colin’s family for sending in munchkins to help us celebrate. We also read the book, The Importance of Being 3 to celebrate.
On Friday, we said good-bye to Miss Fabi. She has been with Creative Kids since we opened our doors in 2014. Miss Fabi begins student teaching next week & graduates college in May. We wish her the best of luck. She has a promising future & we will miss her very much. We celebrated with peanut/tree nut free cupcakes & cookies.

January 14 – Colin
January, the 1st month of the new year & also the month of snowstorms. Along with the possibility of snow comes the prospect of closings & delays. While we make every effort to remain open, safety is a factor for all of our families & staff.
Please note that if Sachem School District closes due to inclement weather, we will also be closed. If Sachem has a delayed opening, we will make every effort to open at our usual time. However, extenuating circumstances might require us to be closed for the morning session. Please tune in to WALK radio (FM 97.5) or check our FB page & the Remind App for closing & delay information.
Creative Kids will be closed on Monday, January 21, 2019 due to Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
Dates to Remember
January 21 – School Closed - Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
The most important thing you can provide for your child is play. They need unstructured time to just play. (Conscious Discipline)
Keep warm this weekend!
