This week we welcomed our new friend, Katie. She is almost 2 years old & we are very happy to have her join us!
During small group with our pre-k kids, we identified who has the letter H in their name, stamped & wrote Hh in our journals, circled the letter Hh if we have it in our name, rainbow traced H, walked H & outlined the letter H with gemstones. We also came up with a list of words that begin with the letter H for our word wall. Ask your child about the H sound.
We created snowflake patterns with gemstones & painted sparkling winter sky pictures at the easel using “cool” colors. We brushed decoupage over the paint after it dried then sprinkled snowflakes & “snow glitter” to create a sparkling winter sky.
Scarf dancing to “Let it Go” along with some other songs was a big hit this week.
We celebrated Kellen's 4th birthday on Monday with pizza & cupcakes! Thank you to his mom & dad for providing the goodies for us to enjoy! Happy 4th Birthday, Kellen!
Jonah excitedly informed us all about his cruise adventures during his vacation & also that grandma & grandpa got a new golf cart.

January, the 1st month of the new year & also the month of snowstorms. Along with the possibility of snow comes the prospect of closings & delays. While we make every effort to remain open, safety is a factor for all of our families & staff.
Please note that if Sachem School District closes due to inclement weather, we will also be closed. If Sachem has a delayed opening, we will make every effort to open at our usual time. However, extenuating circumstances might require us to be closed for the morning session. Please tune in to WALK radio (FM 97.5) or check our FB page, the Remind App &/or Brightwheel App for closing & delay information.
